The last few months for my husband and I have been a little… crazy.
In my last post on contentment, I stated that we had spent a long time looking for a home to purchase, and it seemed like we were just hitting road block after road block.
Just before that post was shared, we had put in an offer on a home, and it had been accepted! We were so excited, started packing, and were making plans for closing the second week of June.
On the first Friday of June, Caleb had an accident at work, and we ended up in the hospital for eight days- in which he had three surgeries to fix multiple injuries.
Between this hospital stay and the sellers needing to do some paperwork, our closing was pushed back an extra week. The mobile titling service came to our friends’ house where we were staying in the interim, and just like that, we were homeowners!
So while it wasn’t an easy road to get here, Headed for a Homestead has MOVED!
Due to my slightly-incapacitated husband, we can’t get started on a chicken coop just yet, but you can bet I’ll be getting on it as soon as we can!
For now, you can look forward to more recipes, homemaking, and remodel content. This house is a fixer-upper, so we’ve got lots to share with you all!
If you’ve been wondering where I’ve been, rest assured, I’m back! With so many changes, I’m looking forward to this fresh start and a new era of the blog.
In the meantime, make sure you’re following headed for a Homestead on Pinterest, because I’ll be leaning more into that platform here soon.
Until next Time,
Rebekah
